About the role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy Avonmouth distribution centre.
This is a hands-on, physical role in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, teamwork and efficiency are essential. You’ll play a key role in ensuring stock is received, stored, picked and shipped correctly to support our global operations.
Unlike many warehouse roles, this position offers consistent Monday to Friday hours (8am–5pm) no shifts, no weekends, providing a great work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
Receiving and booking in deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality
Moving, organising and storing stock using manual handling or lifting equipment
Picking orders from main warehouse and mezzanine (small bin picking) areas
Preparing and dispatching shipments to meet tight deadlines
Carrying out stock control activities including checks, put-aways and stock movements
Operating handling equipment (manual, electric, forklifts – training provided if needed)
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation across the warehouse
Using warehouse systems and IT tools to ensure stock accuracy
Working safely and in line with all Health & Safety procedures
What we’re looking for
Previous warehouse experience is preferred (ideally within stock control or dispatch)
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A team player with a proactive and positive attitude
Basic IT skills and willingness to learn warehouse systems
Forklift experience is an advantage, but not essential (training provided)
What we offer
Monday–Friday schedule (8am–5pm) – no weekend or shift work
Annual company bonus scheme – unlike many warehouse roles
26 days holiday + bank holidays
Pension scheme
4x life assurance
Healthcare cashback plan
Career development opportunities in a growing business
Free secure onsite parking
Access to online discounts with national retail partners
